In the evening of 19th November 1999, Alain Prost won the "World Sports Award of the Century"! Congratulations to Alain!!

Alain received the trophy in the State Opera of Vienna (Austria). Alain was one of the few (about 10) winners. Here the names of some other winners of the "World Sports Award of the Century": Pelè, Steffi Graf, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Carl Lewis... You see, all very famous people, great athletes, and in the middle of them all our Alain!! At the end he stood right beside Pelè, who was Alain's hero when he was a child. What a great moment for our "small" hero! And the proof that he really is one of the biggest sportsmen of the century!

I would like to say "Thanks!" to the jury, they made the right choice! It was a great event and I wish I would have been there to cheer for Alain...
