Team Prost Grand Prix has a new sponsor, which will be on the cars for the first time at the Grand Prix of Monaco: the telecommunication company Alcatel. It will be a financial partnership as well as a technological partnership for the next two years, 1997 and 1998.

Alcatel will bring in their know-how into the radio-communication with drivers, the data-transmission as well as the communication between the race tracks and the factory of Team Prost Grand Prix.
